Education

SACEA offers a variety of continuing education options available to members and the tax professional community at large.

Monthly chapter meetings

Each monthly meeting features a one-hour continuing education session and networking opportunities. Get to know your local colleagues and pick up some of the CE credit you need for license renewal. SACEA meets every third Tuesday of the month except during tax season (February-April).

ASATS

SACEA has offered half-day Advanced Stand-Alone Tax Seminars (ASATS) for more than 20 years. The goal is to offer quality continuing education for tax professionals who want to get their credits without traveling. Live presenters provide interaction that’s not possible in a webinar.

Tax Roundtable

Casual, one-hour (or so) sessions where colleagues bring tricky problems they are encountering for their clients. Bounce the issue off colleagues and gather fresh insights on how to handle. No charge, no credit, just a group of EA’s discussing real-life situations.

EA Certificate Program

SACEA is partnering with Pima Community College to support the college program for students who want to pursue the Enrolled Agent license. The series of classes combine with hands-on experience through Volunteers in Tax Assistance (VITA) to culminate in an academic certificate and preparation to that the Special Enrollment Exam.
