|The Affordable Care Act -- What's New for 2016 & Tax Planning for 2017|| JoAnn Sabbagh, EA||4||We made it through ACA in 2014. We struggled with it in 2015, but are we ready for what 2016 holds in store for us as tax preparers? JoAnn Sabbagh, EA & former Instructor for Gear Up, will present a comprehensive overview of the ACA changes we all need to be aware of in preparing 2016 tax returns. Learn where we can take our clients word it, and when and what documentation we need to receive from our clients. JoAnn will also delve into some of the more complex scenarios of allocating a “shared responsibility payment” or Premium Assistance Credit among multiple taxpayers and returns. Learn what to do when the IRS begins rejecting “silent returns” in 2017. She will also provide the knowledge we need to know to advise our business clients who may wish to or now be required to provide health insurance for their employees. This has been the most requested topic for SACEA tax classes and we are fortunate to have a qualified instructor to cover this complex topic ... don’t miss it! |
